Is he reaching behind him because his orange robe is caught on the barbed wire ??? If so, it's a good thing he realized he was snagged on the wire, otherwise, if he walked away, it might have pulled his robe off ! Don't know what they wear under the robe, if anything ?

But what a silly thing for me to wonder, it's none of my business what he may be wearing...
