Doing business at ground level... with ground up spices... all very tempting, even in the shade, one can still guess at the vibrant colors and smells.

Were the papers in the middle to wrap up packets of spices ?

Ombre et lumière sur les épices... Pourquoi ?
Bises my Dear !... ;')

Lovely. There is an Indian spice market I go to sometimes, the spices in the plastic cases are like desert landscapes.

@ Owen: yes Owen I guess so
Unfortunately, can't share smells and perfumes through internet!

@ Babzy: I see what you mean! Nice way to display, I agree with you!

@ ArtSparker: like dunes! yes! You should go and see my blog related to Egypt, there is one shot which mught represent the idea ;-)

@ Alex: thank you!

@ Cynthia: It is really fascinating the way they can display colours in such a way. Still that was not a spice market, but one small corner in one particular food (and all kind of things...) market close to my place. They are really good at this.

@ JL Leal: thank you so much (muchas gracias por todo)

@ Richard: pas mal only ??? :-)

@ Arnaud: merci! Good luck with the moving and see you soon, on Random Shots or elsewhere

@ Roxana: YOU have such a lovely and sensitive blog...

@ Alvaro: hola quetal? Muchas gracias, hasta luego

@ Unseen Rajasthan: thank you.

J'aime beaucoup comment tu récupères ton "sens littéral"...! 'besoin de parler...! Petite forme Loulou ! Fatiguée, grise ? ;-) Je ne parlais que de cuisine littérale ! ! !... my dear !
Namasté ! 8:(.....;')

This is a gorgeous slice of life photo and very artful. I really want to buy spices here; it looks much more appealing than shelves of little plastic jars.
