En ce qui concerne les épices, j'adore cuisiner avec... le cumin, le safran, le curcuma, le paprika, les quatres épices ( girofle, poivre...), cannelle, muscade... toutes les saveurs du sud, bien mijotées ! C'est drôle, les personnes étrangères que je rencontre disent de nous "les français" qu'on est les seuls à être capables de parler de nourriture alors qu'on est en train de manger !!!!

Doing business at ground level... with ground up spices... all very tempting, even in the shade, one can still guess at the vibrant colors and smells.

Lovely. There is an Indian spice market I go to sometimes, the spices in the plastic cases are like desert landscapes.
